Our complete list of benefits and programs for each position can be found by following the links above to the specific job pages. We would like to highlight one program however, that is available to all Horizon employees and gives a good picture of the type of culture here at Horizon.
The Hopes & Dreams Program pairs employees with one of the senior employees at Horizon who acts a mentor. This mentor will work with the employee on whatever goals they may have whether that be going back to school, buying their first home, or even just working out a gym schedule. The program is 100% optional and once started is completely defined by the employee and mentor. It is said that the only way to grow a company is to grow its employees; Horizon is continuously looking for ways to create an environment that helps employees achieve their hopes and dreams.

The Hopes and Dreams Program has really encouraged me to strive for success and not to give up on my dreams. This program has helped focus me on my goals and opened up my eyes to broader horizons. It has taught me that everything is possible if you put your mind to it and know what you are striving for.
Before I was hired at Horizon I wasn’t going any where in life it was the same old story from job to job. I wasn’t focused on my future; all I knew was that some day I wanted to go back to school and major in Business Administration. But I never set my goals or even attempted to go back to school. I worked full time and I hated my job so I decided to quit. Then I applied here at Horizon and I got hired. As soon as I got hired they introduced to me the Hopes and Dreams Program. The Hopes and Dreams Program has truly helped me out and my mentor has dedicated the time to help me start acheiving my goals. Horizon set up a career assessment test for me and my number one pick was to be a Police Officer. Horizon went out of their way and brought in a ex-employee who was now a Police Officer to give me an idea of what the day to day looks like in law enforcement. I benefitted from the experience and it focused me on continuing to pursue Business.
After meeting with my mentor again, I was very encouraged to go back to school and get started on my business degree. Thanks Doug for listening and for encouraging me to follow my goals. I believe a week later during my review with Amy she was already helping me fill out paperwork for my college enrollment. It meant a lot to me that these people took time out of their days to help me out and they continued to follow-up with me through out the enrollment process.
Since then, I have started my first college class and it feels great. I plan to major in Business Administration and I plan to grow within Horizon and someday manage my own business. If it wasn’t for the Hopes and Dreams program I wouldn’t have enrolled in school and I would just be working and not thinking about my future. I would like to thank Horizon Technology for opening my eyes and making me realize everything is possible as long as you have a game plan, I am truly blessed to be working here and thanks for caring!
