Horizon Technology’s RBTO Storage Program

With hard drive manufacturers continuing to transition storage from SCSI to SATA or to SAS technology, military and medical manufacturers face an ongoing challenge to support products and applications that require out-of-warranty and end-of-life hard drives. Horizon’s Refurbished Build To Order (RBTO) Program addresses the increasing issue many OEMs currently are facing in the marketplace. Horizon’s RBTO Program offers high quality and reliable drives in an effort to support OEMs and their customer bases. Horizon’s unique program offers manufactured refurbished drives for both legacy and current product lines. Horizon’s commitment to excellence is mirrored by the standards instituted at the manufacturers’ level while implementing the following processes: top quality components; state-of-the-art equipment; stringent quality requirements; sampling of incoming quality for newly purchased materials; on-going DPPM and reliability testing and out-of-box audits. Every factory refurbished hard drive product goes through the same rigorous standard testing process applied to new drives, including process flow, test sequence, test time, and pass/fail criteria.
