Next Step in Company's Growth Strategy --  

LAKE FOREST , Calif. – Feb. 1, 2005 -- Horizon Technology, a leading independent distributor specializing in storage and display products, today announced the opening of its new company headquarters and the addition of three regional offices in the U.S. and Asia . 

Horizon's new ISO 9001:2000-certified headquarters, located in Lake Forest , California , is a state-of-the-art logistics, testing and operations facility accompanied by a fully-integrated purchasing, sales and customer service office. The company's two new U.S.-based regional offices are located in Boston and Miami to best serve customers based on the East Coast. Horizon's new office serving the Asian market is located in Seoul, Korea .

“The addition of our Boston and Miami offices are an integral part of Horizon's plans to grow our market share in North America ,” said Kurt Johnson, chief executive officer for Horizon Technology. “Expanding our U.S. operations is in keeping with our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction while complementing our unrivaled approach to distribution.”

The Boston office will be managed by VP of Trading, Jonathan Gerber. The Miami office is managed by industry veteran Raul Acosta, previously with Bell Microproducts, Latin America , an electronics distributor based in Miami .    

Horizon has expanded its global operations in Asia with the opening of its office in Seoul , Korea . In addition to serving as a full-service sales and purchasing facility, Horizon's Seoul location handles a complete range of LCD services including bill of materials specification, materials sourcing, inventory management, kitting, display solution manufacturing and testing.

"Asia is a region of great potential in the display manufacturing industry – with Korea at the center of expansion in the market," added Johnson. "By opening an office in Asia , we are acknowledging the significance of this market in our global sourcing network, and want to provide OEM and EMS customers greater access to our technological and logistical resources."

Horizon's goal is to continue expanding its presence in key regions of the world, focusing on storage and display solutions.  Horizon expects consistent growth through the first half of 2005, enhanced by the of addition field sales and support personnel in the new offices.
