LAKE FOREST , Calif. -- Horizon Technology, a leading independent distributor specializing in storage and display products, announced its new U.S. headquarters has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.

The certification, in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was received after an extensive and comprehensive audit conducted by QMI, a leading management system registrar, offering registration and training for ISO and other quality management systems. QMI certified that Horizon Technology's processes and procedures that comprise its Quality Management System successfully met the ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

Prior to the certification process, Horizon Technology worked with Hammer Quality Solutions to help guide the company through the pre-audit preparation work.

The ISO 9001:2000 certification is issued only after rigorous inspection of business processes and performance across all areas of the company's business. Tough improvement targets are also set to ensure quality levels are constantly being raised.

The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an international reference for quality management requirements and continuous improvement in business-to-business dealings.
