K-Tronics specialized in hard-to-find products and was one of few worldwide distributors authorized by Seagate to sell its recertified hard drives. The purchase of K-Tronics International makes Horizon one of the largest distributors of factory recertified hard drives complementing the company's existing line from Western Digital. Horizon also sells new factory hard drives from companies that include Seagate, WD, Fujitsu, Maxtor, Quantum, Hitachi , Toshiba, IBM and Samsung.

One of the major markets for factory recertified hard drives is fulfillment of repair demand for Enterprise , Desktop, Mobile Computing and Consumer Electronics applications. Product lines include SCSI, ATA, Serial ATA, SAS and Fibre Channel.

This acquisition gives Horizon a stronger position in the Repair Demand Fulfillment service offered to third party service providers (3PSP), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Electronic Manufacturing Services ( EMS ) customers.
