HORIZON TECHNOLOGY APPOINTS INDUSTRY VETERANS TO
HEAD DISPLAY AND STORAGE BUSINESS
LAKE FOREST , Calif. -- May 4, 2005 -- Horizon Technology, a leading independent distributor specializing in information storage and display products, today announced the appointments of Dustin Johnson and Kevin Lynch to the newly-created positions of Director of Business Development, Displays and Director of Business Development, respectively.
In their new positions, both Lynch and Johnson will draw from their extensive electronics industry experience to continue developing and executing Horizon’s sales growth strategy.

As the new Director of Business Development, Displays, Johnson will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of Horizon’s display solutions growth strategy. Johnson will focus on the expansion of vendor partnerships, support the sales force with LCD design initiatives and direct sales. With nearly a decade experience, Johnson joins Horizon from vCustomer, where he was the Director of Sales. While in this position, he managed an India-based lead generation sales team, multiple account executives and strategic account sales responsibilities. Prior to Customer, Johnson was Area Sales Manager for Mission Technology where he was a manufacturer’s representative for companies that included NEC Electronics, Tianma displays, Applied Instruments and DFI Technologies.
Before Mission, Johnson held a field sales position with Sterling Electronics where he managed a successful OEM account base and spearheaded the implementation of a customized value-added LCD design program. Early in his career, Johnson held an inside/outside sales position with Future Electronics. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
In his new role as Director of Business Development, Lynch will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for growth in key new market segments. An electronics industry veteran, Lynch brings over 20 years of senior-level strategic business and sales development to Horizon complemented by strong relationships with some of the world’s largest OEM’s and CEM’s. Prior to joining Horizon, Lynch held management positions with Fusion and Resilien. As Sales Manager, Lynch played a major role in the success of R.W. Electronics where he was instrumental in the positioning of the company as a top five open market distributor. Lynch received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College.
